Key Features - Live Connection using Laptop’ • Using Terminal Services or VPN connection the user can have access to current live stock and account information. • Orders are placed real time on the system at Head Office so Stock is reserved in real time. • All of the functionality available at Head Office is available to the Sales Rep using his laptop. This can be limited by setting User Access Levels. • The system can be set to only display the Sales Reps own customers for added security • Laptops can run all PC applications such as Microsoft Excel / Powerpoint etc. giving much greater potential to the enthusiastic Sales Rep • In general, live connection is only recommended where exact information is required as against recent information. Call charges, in particular GPRS connection charges should be considered when budgeting for this option.

Key Features - PDAs’ • Small in size and reasonably cheap to purchase • Used where the Sales Rep needs to take Orders and send back to base • Orders can be taken, edited and sent via email back to base—Order is then dealt with in the normal fashion by Head Office personnel. • Sales Rep has Access to recently updated Stock levels and Account Information • Removes the need to Fax back order to HO where operator has to re-enter • Sales Rep can generally deal with queries on the spot thus saving phone calls and man power in HO • PDA’s portray a professional image to the customer on site • Additional Sales Reps can be added with minimal additional costs
